What is a DIN 555 Hex Nut?

DIN 555 hexagonal nuts have a hexagonal shape and a metric coarse internal thread. The equivalent standard is ISO 4034. DIN 555 is a medium/high type nut with a thicker thickness than the ordinary DIN 934 nut and a higher load-bearing capacity.
