DIN 9021 metric large plain washers are circular metal washers with a larger outer diameter (OD), approximately three times the inner diameter (ID). Large washers increase the contact area with the connected components during tightening, evenly distributing the bolt’s clamping force and reducing the likelihood of damage to the load-bearing surface.
